Join us as we seek to bring awareness to the challenges of substance abuse and misuse.
Mercer County’s Overdose Awareness Day event is hosted annually by Mercer Council & the Prevention Coalition of Mercer County. This year we will partner with Footprints to Recovery, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, and Hamilton Township to host this community-wide event.
Space will be provided for families to connect with others impacted by overdose and addiction. Grief resources and treatment options will be present to provide additional support, and our team of Prevention Education experts will be in attendance to provide information and resources to all. The event will also feature a memorial and candelight vigil; we invite attendees to bring personal mementos, photographs, or written messages to help us support them and to honor and remember their loved ones. We invite residents of Mercer County and all surrounding communities to join in this event and be a part of the effort to address the substance abuse crisis. Together we can reduce stigma, promote prevention, and support those affected by addiction in their journey toward recovery.
