WBCB (1490 AM) Radio Helps PCMC Tackle Opioids Through Prevention For Athletes
Recently, Merrill Reese of WBCB Radio, the "Voice of the Philadelphia Eagles" recorded two PSAs for the Prevention Coalition to help us spread awareness to parents of student athletes to keep them safe from prescription opioid misuse. Student athletes are considered a high-risk population for opioid use and misuse because of their greater risk of injury and also becuase of a greater opportunity to receive diverted opioid medications form their teammates.
WBCB has been an integral member of the Prevention Coalition of Mercer County for the past several years, and often partners with us to get important anti-drug media messages out during high school sports game coverage. They have also moderated several of our Town Hall Meeting on Drug Trends, and covered our International Overdose Awareness Day events in August. We thank them for being an important member of the PCMC team!!
