PCMC Partners with the PDFNJ to Promote Important Public Health Messages Around Youth and Marijuana Use

The Prevention Coalition of Mercer County is teaming up with The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey to promote the 2021 public health campaign that focuses on raising awareness of the risks associated with adolescent use of marijuana.  "The recent legislation passed in New Jersey making retail cannabis legal for those 21 years and older, may give the impression to youth that this is a 'safe' drug", said Barbara Sprechman, Assistant Executive Director of Mercer Council and Coordinator of the PCMC.  "We will be sending messages out via our social media platforms that marijuana is illegal, unhealthy and unacceptable for youth use.   Please help us spread facts, not fiction".
