Finding Solutions Together! - Metro Employee Assistance Service (MEAS) at Mercer Council

Known for our dedication to substance related prevention in the Mercer County Community over the past 40+ years, many familiar with Mercer Council are unaware that we facilitate an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that provides free, short-term, confidential counseling services for employees and household members of approximately 15-20 local businesses.

Mercer Council has licensed and nationally certified clinicians (LPC, LCADC, LAC, NCC) on staff to provide support to employees and household members who are trying to reaching their goals in a variety of areas, including but not limited to:

- Family/Relationship conflict

- Mental Health/Substance related challenges

- Bereavement, Grief, Loss

- Interpersonal challenges

- Adjustment related considerations

- General life stress

- Any other challenge, goal, idea, consideration not on this list!

MEAS works with employees/household members for between 2 and 5 sessions and has the ability to assist with making recommendations and referrals for additional support beyond what is offered through MEAS.  While utilizing MEAS is free to employees/household members, client's are responsible for any fees or co-pays associated with referrals to outside services.  MEAS has flexible hours (AM/PM) and is conveniently located in Lawrence Township on Business Route 1, which has multiple public transportation stops along the route.

In addition, MEAS also provides contracted employers/businesses Professional/Management Consultation and Employee/Supervisory Training in a variety of different areas.

MEAS is not a crisis center or mobile response; individuals having an emergency or who are in crisis should call 911, go to the nearest hospital emergency department or call the Mercer County Mobile Response at Capital Health by dialing (609) 396 - HELP (4957).
