From Deborah Dunn, on behalf of the Board of Trustees

"Please join us in expressing good wishes to Jocelyn Cooper as she begins her next chapter. We are grateful for her contributions since she started in 2014 as a Prevention Educator working directly with our beloved Geetha Arulmohan. In July 2017, Jocelyn became the Council's Executive Director. The Council's accomplishments came through her exceptional leadership and support of the Council staff. We wish Jocelyn much success and happiness in this next chapter.

For every chapter that ends, a new one begins. Our search for a new Executive Director has already started. Job announcement can be found below. We encourage everyone to direct candidates to the job posting (downloadable link below). While we search for our new Executive Director, Catherine Arulmohan is the Council's Interim Executive Director.

The Council's mission remains clear: to create pathways to reduce substance-related challenges through education, support, advocacy, and partnerships throughout our community. We are so proud to have the committed and professional group of people that make up the Mercer Council. We have every confidence that we will continue to deliver the excellent services for which the Council is known. As we are all reminded every day, the challenges we face as a community continue to grow and change. There is so much work left to continue our mission, which undoubtedly helps save and improve lives and families. This organization allows us to accomplish those goals on the ground level every day. We will continue to meet those challenges together. As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." Let us continue our work together and be champions of our cause."
