Please join our Mercer Council on Alcoholism and Drug Addiction (MCADA) professional team! We are a passionate group that are focused on assisting our Mercer County community with harm reduction and prevention. The MCADA team are all trained and/or certified in evidence-based prevention and early intervention programs. Our team members come from diverse career backgrounds as teachers, social workers, case managers, public health educators, certified prevention specialists, National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist, and/or Licensed Mental Health professionals. Certified Peer Recovery Specialist for Mercer County Opioid Overdose Recovery Program (OORP)

Position Title:

Certified Peer Recovery Specialist for Mercer County Opioid Overdose Recovery Program (OORP)


History of this position: 

MCADA has successfully held the DMHAS grant to execute the Mercer County Opioid Overdose Recovery Program (OORP) since 2017, providing services to over 1200 individuals suffering from Opioid related challenges.

Salary Range:

PER-DIEM

MCADA Outreach/Prevention Educator

New Position: 

Our agency is growing and we are looking for a self-directed member of our team that has strong communication skills and can assist us with reaching our new strategic goals and objectives as we strengthen our commitment to the Mercer County community.

Salary Range:

$40,000.00-$45,000.00

ASYSST Internship

History of the Program:

Available School Youth Services Support Team (ASYSST) has been working with the Ewing Public High School since 2007. The ASYSST team and therapist helps guide Ewing High School youth/students using prevention and positive directions towards accomplishing their personal and academic goals. The ASYSST team works together to provide support services to help students graduate high school, prepare for college or a job and make healthy choices that will benefit them in life.

Metro Employee Assistance Program/Employee Assistance Program Therapist

History of the Position: 

MCADA has been providing in-person EAP therapy to area employers for 45 years. Unlike other National EAP programs, MCADA offers the option of teletherapy in addition to in-person therapy and has excellent connections to local area treatment centers. 

Salary Range:

PER-DIEM (Reimbursement will be provided during the interview process) 

ASYSST Mental Health Counselor/Therapist

History of the Position:

Salary Range:

$50,000.00 (based on experience level) 

MCADA Substance Use Evaluator for Juvenile Justice Commission

History of the Position:

MCADA has been providing support and harm reduction in the way of substance use evaluations to the New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission (JJC) for over 22 years. We ensure that committed juveniles/adolescents/young adults (ages 14 to 22 years old) receive the correct level of care by using the evidence based guidelines by the American Society of Addiction Medicine for Substance Use Disorders.  Most evaluations will be conducted at the New Jersey Training School for Boys Reception Unit in Monroe Township and the Juvenile Medium Security Facility in Bordentown

Salary Range:

15 hours a week for $46,000.00 a year
